Glenaldor House

Glenaldor House,Dumfries Information
At Glenaldor House we aim to ensure you have an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Glenaldor is a lovely and spacious Victorian house built in the 1860's, it is a listed building and sits in a beautiful spot in a conservation area. We are next door to where J.M Barrie creator and writer of Peter Pan lived whilst at school in Dumfries. Whether you are visiting Dumfries for work, business, a short break or a longer stay, Glenaldor House is your perfect base. Although we are just off the main road which gives us a quiet and secluded location, we are fortunate to be a mere 3 minutes for the train station and less than a 10 minute stroll to the town centre. At Glenaldor House we intend to give you excellent quality and service at affordable prices. We have 4 lovely large and airy rooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Ample private parking and additional parking is available for all our guests. Our house retains many original features such as cast iron staircases and fireplaces and some wonderfully ornate cornices. We offer free unlimited wireless internet access and each of our rooms have flat digital TVs with freeview. All our rooms are family, double or twin en-suites, however if required, please feel free to call and request a single occupancy rate for any of these rooms.
