Originally built in 1892, Maes Manor Country Hotel has been carefully refurbished to offer the modern comforts of the most contemporary hotels alongside the traditional ideals of a charming country house. The picturesque gardens offer a haven of peace and tranquillity, with magnificent views across the surroundings, far away from the stresses of everyday life. Offering convenient access to the nearby M4 motorway, during your stay at Maes Manor you can easily explore the wonderful surroundings, including Newport, Cardiff, Cwmcarn Forest, Caerphilly Castle and the Brecon Beacons. Offering an idyllic setting for your special occasions, the hotel offers the Islwyn Suite, a large pillar free ballroom, complete with an ornate carved stone fountain. The suite can hold up to 220 people. Business events can also be held at the hotel, with a number of multi-function rooms available, holding anything from 22-220 people. The hotel is renowned for its regular nights of quality entertainment, with music evenings and many of the country's leading tribute bands playing at the hotel.

	Views of the garden can be enjoyed in the Lounge Bar, which serves light snacks and drinks in a serene setting, with traditional fireplaces at either end of the room. The Cocktail Bar is open 24 hours a day to hotel residents. It is also and also available to non-residents at lunch and dinner time. Due to popular demand, the hotel's Seasons Restaurant has recently been refurbished to enable a further 45 covers, bringing the total capacity of the restaurant to at least 100. It serves a menu of classic and traditional British dishes, which are changed seasonally. During the summer months, you can also enjoy food and drinks on the peaceful and relaxing shaded patio area.
