wyngate bed and breakfast | A small family run bed and breakfast situated 2 minutes walk to the seaside in Meols on the Wirral Peninsular. We are a 10 minute walk to the train station where you can get a direct train to Liverpool which will take approx 25 minutes and the trains run every 15 minutes at peak time. Chester is 35 minutes away by car and North Wales is 45 minutes away by car. The Wirral peninsular has many cycle routes and counrty parks for you to explore as well as an interesting history of Roman and Viking habitation, our local pub ( 5 minutes walk away ) has a viking ship buried in blue clay in the car park. Wyngate is less than 2 miles from the Royal Liverpool golf course, where the 2006 British Open was held and close to the many other golf courses on the Wirral. The 2007 European Sand Yachting competition was held in Hoylake which is less than half a mile away. Wyngate is a home from home and our breakfast produce is bought from a local farm in Thurstaston and in summer we grow our own tomatoes for your breakfast.
