Our small, friendly, family-run guesthouse with themed bar and restaurant offers outstanding sea views in the heart of Cliftonville, close to the centre of Margate.
A 5-storey Victorian terraced property featuring old charm with a modern twist, the Malvern provides the ideal base to explore this seaside town on foot. There are 5 outstanding Blue Flag award beaches, a stunning coastline ideal for walking and cycling, some of the best golf courses in the UK and a vast array of activities and attractions.
The Malvern's famous Blues Brothers themed bar and restaurant serves a highly acclaimed breakfast. In the evening, enjoy only the finest steaks, fresh fish and traditional English style dishes, all freshly prepared and cooked by the in-house chef using local ingredients where possible. The guest house was honoured to be presented with an award for outstanding contribution to the leisure and tourism industry in Thanet, by Thanet District Council. The best accolade yet is The Environment Agency Water efficiency awards 2007 prize for Outstanding Contribution to Water Conservation. The guest house won the category for leisure and tourism, plus scooped the overall winners award.

The Malvern Hotel & Blues Grill has been awarded a Gold standard Clean Food Award for the past 6 years and has been awarded a Kent Heartbeat Award for providing healthier food choices and a non-smoking environment.
Standard breakfast times are 08:00 to 09:00 Monday to Saturday, and 08:30 to 09:30 on Sundays. If you require an earlier breakfast, this is available from 07:00 (on request). A continental breakfast can be provided in your room, and packed lunches can be provided for very early departures (on request). Please note all special dietary requirements must be requested prior to or on arrival.
Please note that the restaurant is by reservation only. The restaurant is also open to non-residents so reserving a table is advised. The restaurant is not open on Sundays.
A room service menu is available from 17:00 - 23:00 for drinks and 17:00 - 21:00 for food.
