Walter de Cantelupe Inn  | Originally a 17th century merchant's house, later to become a rare example of a classic English inn, offering award-winning food, drink and accommodation. Enjoy a drink in the Bar with its open log fire. In summer, the intimate walled garden is a real sun trap at midday and features a heated awning to one side for shade and evening relaxation. The beds are made up with duvets and white linen. If you prefer traditional sheets and blankets please inform us in sufficient time, before arrival, so the beds can be remade. Ample FREE private car parking (sorry. not suitable for lorries/trucks or other large motor vehicle). NEW SERVICE Overnight guests have FREE wireless internet access in their bedrooms aswell as downstairs in the Bar. NOTE. The Inn, on Mondays, is only open for Bed & Breakfast, however, there are alternative places to eat and drink on Monday evenings near by. Ideally located minutes from junction 7 of the M5 and just 4 miles from the city of Worcester and it's historic Cathedral,a World Heritage Site, the Inn is ideally placed for visiting the West of England and Midlands. Easy reach of Cheltenham Racecourse, Stratford-upon-Avon Enthusiasts of landscape architecture will be attracted to nearby Croome Landscape Park, an early example of Capability Brown's work, which has undergone a spectacular restoration by the National Trust. Continue along A4440 until the roundabout with A38 and turn left towards Tewkesbury. Kempsey is just a mile and a half further on. The Inn is on the left, just passed the pedestrian crossing. |
