The cottage bedrooms are all at ground floor level making them easily accessible. Bluebell, in particular, is favourable for a wheelchair user as it is spacious and the bathroom has a deep bath with a modern assisted access facility, as well as a power shower over the bath. |  | How to find South Hayrigg Cottage:
If travelling North on M74 towards Lockerbie, leave the motorway at Jct. 18. At end of the slip road take a right at the T junction signposted to Lockerbie. Continue on this road until you reach the small roundabout. To your left you will see the Queen's Hotel and at the roundabout you will notice a sign for Dalton pointing to the left. Take a left turn here and do not go into Lockerbie. Continue up the Dalton Road until you reach the first corner and private road which is on the right hand side. South Hayrigg Cottage is directly on the corner here and has a bed and breakfast sign outside.
If travelling South on M74, towards Lockerbie leave the motorway at Jct. 17. At the end of the slip road take a left at the T junction signposted Lockerbie. Proceed to the next junction and take a right signposted to Lockerbie. Continue on through the town and as is you are heading outwards. You will have passed the post office and the police station on your left hand side. At the small roundabout, go straight over on to the Dalton Road. You will notice the Queens Hotel to your left.
