Clarendon Hotel, The

	Right on Morecambe's seafront promenade, the Clarendon Hotel boasts spectacular sweeping views over Morecambe Bay towards the mountains of the Lake District. For over 100 years, this charming 19th-century building has offered guests a warm and friendly welcome. The Clarendon Hotel is only a 10-minute walk along the promenade from the famous statue of Eric Morecambe. The breathtaking natural beauty of the Lake District and the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales are also within easy reach. All of the en suite rooms have TVs, hairdryers, trouser presses and tea/coffee making facilities. Many of the rooms have magnificent views over Morecambe Bay. An extensive fish and grill menu is served in the Waterfront Restaurant, which overlooks the bay. In the basement of the hotel, Davy Jones' Locker offers a traditional pub atmosphere, with cask-conditioned ales, Sky TV, pool tables, darts and regular quiz nights.The Clarendon Hotel makes an ideal base for exploring the wonderful and varied areas surrounding Morecambe Bay. To the North are the beautiful lakes and fells of the Lake District, while Grange-over-Sands, Cartmel and the quieter, but equally beautiful, Western Lakes and coast are just around the bay. To the East lies the famous Yorkshire Dales, the peacefull Lune Valley and The Forest of Bowland (not a forest at all but a wild, upland, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

	Our restaurant has an excellent local reputation and is open for lunch and dinner. A traditional 3-course Sunday lunch offers excellent value for money, however booking is advisable. Meals can be taken in our restaurant, or for more informal dining, the same menu is available in our lounge bar. Visit the Davy Jones Locker for a traditional pub atmosphere.
