Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort - QHotels, The,Cumbernauld,UK InformationThe Westerwood is situated in 400 acres, nestling at the foot of the Campsie Hills, conveniently located midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
A warm welcome awaits you at this hotel, situated in the heart of Scotland. The Westerwood Hotel is ideal for business travellers due to its fabulous location between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The hotel is close to a major motorway and only a short distance from 3 international airports.
The Westerwood offers a range of benefits: free and secure parking, quick and easy check-in, superbly appointed working areas in the bedrooms, 24-hour room service and free use of the health and leisure club. The hotel's own 18-hole golf course was designed by Seve Ballasteros and Dave Thomas.Enjoy reduced green fees on The Westerwood Golf Course, relax in front of the roaring fires or enjoy lunch or dinner in Club Bar & Grill or, for a more formal setting, enjoy the à la carte menu in the award winning Old Masters Restaurant.
Whether you are looking for an invigorating workout or simply to lie back and relax, Reflections Health, Fitness and Spa has everything you need. Facilities include: a 15 metre indoor swimming pool, a spa bath, a steam room, a sauna, a jacuzzi and gym with state-of-the-art technology. There are also outdoor tennis courts, fitness classes and a health and beauty salon with treatment rooms.
Designed by Seve Ballasteros and Dave Thomas, the 18-hole par 72 course at The Westerwood Hotel challenges golfers of all handicaps. The 4th hole comprises 2 water hazards. There is a cunningly placed bunker at the 6th, and the most spectacular hole, the 15th, is aptly named The Waterfall as it is set against a 40 foot rock face. Finally, the 18th is arguably one of the finest finishing holes in golf. Meandering through silver birches, firs, heath and heather, the course is one of the most beautiful in the area. Tuition can be arranged through the director of golf and his team. Corporate golf days for parties of 12 or more are a speciality, and various corporate packages can be arranged.
