George Inn, The

	A 14th century coaching inn, located in the beautiful village of Alfriston in the heart of the south downs. The emphasis is on relaxation, great food, well kept beers, a super wine list and always a friendly welcome. The George is exactly what you would expect and want from an ' Old English Inn'. First licensed in 1397 it sits in the heart of beautiful Down land conservation area. The Southdown way passes the front door. We have recently refurbished our beautiful and luxurious 14th and 16th century bedrooms to a very high standard whilst retaining the original features. The rooms have kept their charm with oak beams, bespoke antique furniture and sleigh beds. All rooms are en suite and have an air cooling system.
