Grand Scarborough, The
 | The Grand Hotel remains unique, with many of its original features playing their part in helping make a fantastic break. The hotel is the perfect base to enjoy Scarborough's beautiful sandy beaches, promenade walks & seaside entertainment. It has often been written that the hotel was designed around the theme of time, with 4 towers for the seasons, 12 floors for the months of the year, 52 chimneys for the weeks and 365 rooms - one for each day of the year. The hotel was also built in the shape of a 'v' - symbolising the reign of Queen Victoria. The Grand Hotel is one of Scarborough's greatest landmarks. Situated in the town centre, this stately building enjoys pride of place overlooking Scarborough's picturesque South Bay and Harbour. Without a doubt the views from the Hotels Harbour Lights restaurant are among the finest on this coast. Please note the hotel is currently undergoing a 7 million pound refurbishment programme. | | | | |
