Old School Guesthouse, The

	This friendly guest house was built as a school house in 1875. It has been converted to comfortable, homely accommodation with beautiful original features. The building's historic structure has been carefully preserved, including the 130-year-old exposed wooden beams. All light and airy rooms have been newly decorated, with art on the walls, king-size beds and designer Egyptian cotton bed linen. The Old School Guesthouse is surrounded by Dartmoor National Park, and is a 10-minute drive from Tavistock. Plymouth and Plymouth Airport are 15 minutes away.

	Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 9:00. There is a traditional English breakfast and other options. The Old School Guesthouse uses local, organic and seasonal ingredients where possible. Dinner and wines from the licensed bar are available in the evening. Advance bookings are preferred. The dining room is light and airy, and the walls are adorned with works of art. In the evening, the tables are laid with candles. All food is freshly prepared and dishes range from traditional to international.
