Awarded Most Romantic Hotel by the AA, Stanhill Court features individually furnished bedrooms, many of which have 4-poster beds. It also boasts Scottish Baronial-style furnishings such as pitch pine panelling with elaborate carvings throughout the hall, a minstrel's gallery and barrel roof with original stained glass windows.
Despite being only 4 miles from Gatwick Airport, and enjoying excellent links to the M25 and M3, Stanhill Court offers peace and tranquillity as it is not in the flight path. Instead you can enjoy verdant countryside and wildlife roaming free, including deer and grazing sheep and cows.Originally built as a family home in 1881, to the exacting requirements of Mr William Young, a Scottish landowner and marine underwriter with Lloyds of London, the house displays many unique original features including a barrel roof with original stained glass windows depicting the family coat of arms.
The hotel is licensed for up to 300 people for civil ceremonies and up to 220 for Wedding Breakfasts. All events can be adjusted to suit your individual needs.
