Newton House Hotel

Newton House Hotel - Perth Newton House Hotel - Perth

Newton House Hotel,Perth,UK InformationNewton House is a country house hotel of style and character, set in 1.5 acres of grounds. Our hotel is now completely non smoking.

Originally built as a Dower House in the 1840's, its Victorian charm still remains today, providing a friendly and informal atmosphere where you can relax and be treated as an individual. Guests at Newton House can savour the convivial log fire atmosphere of the bar lounge. Most of the rooms remain in their original design, with high ceilings and ample proportions. The bedrooms are situated on two floors, with most on the first floor, but two ground floor rooms can easily accommodate those with mobility difficulties.
Welcome to Newton House Hotel, a 3 star country house hotel of style and character. The hotel is family owned and situated just 5 miles east of Perth in the heart of Scotland. It is set in 1.5 acres of it's own mature grounds with spectacular trees and ample off-road parking. We also offer secure facilities for bikes. The hotel is ideal for walking holidays, golf breaks, visiting castles and gardens, or one of the many other activities Scotland has to offer. It's central location makes Perthshire easy to reach and a pleasure to explore this unique location where the Scottish Lowlands meet the Highlands at the Heart of Scotland. If you're not sure what you want to do, we have plenty of guides and leaflets in the hotel to help you decide, and a hearty breakfast will set you up for the day ahead.
Newton House Hotel was originally built as a Dower House (a house built by a rich landowner for his widow to live in after his death, especially a house on a country estate) in the 1840's. Its Victorian charm still remains today with many original features in existance, and it provides a friendly and informal atmosphere where you can relax and be treated as an individual.
Due to the fact that the building was errected some 160 years ago, the interior of the hotel is well proportioned and the lounge, bar, and restaurant are located on the ground floor with doorways wide enough to cater for those with mobility difficulties. We strive to retain the Victorian character of the hotel, and many of the original features remain. Natural woodwork and high ceilings are very much in evidence along with open fires and a stained glass window above the pitch pine staircase.
We have nine bedrooms, offering a range of accommodation, with family rooms, double, twin and single bed rooms situated on two floors. Most are on the first floor, but two ground floor rooms are available for those with mobility difficulties and are also available as family accommodation. The bedrooms are equipped with all the things you would expect of a 3 star hotel, and because they are well proportioned it is possible to accommodate most families in one room, making a bargain for your family holidays.
Not only are we family friendly, but we are also pet friendly! We are happy to accommodate your pet by prior arrangement; please mention when booking that you have a pet so that we will be expecting you. There are many places around the hotel where dogs can be walked prior to you retiring to bed.
