Northlink Ferries operate daily crossings to Stromness in Orkney and Smyril Line operates a weekly crossing to Torshavn in the Faroe Islands. A long-stay car parking near the port is operated by Scrabster Harbour Trust.

	A9 links Scrabster to southern places like Inverness and Falkirk, in the mainland Scotland.
	Highland Country operates the local bus service. Scottish Citylink offers a coach service to Inverness. Some buses stop at the ferry terminal, while few others stop in Thurso town, about 1.5 miles away.
	Thurso Train Station is located about 2 miles from the ferry terminal, from where Scotrail offers rail service to Inverness and Wick.
	Wick Airport is about 23 miles from the port via A9/ B874/ A99. The airport has regular flights to Edinburgh.
