Plymouth

The city offers a shortest route to West France. Brittany ferries operate ferry service between (1) Plymouth and Santander in Spain, (2) Plymouth and Roscoff in Brittany. The Plymouth ferry terminal offers very good facilities to its passengers, including parking.

The city is to the south of A38 Devon highway.A38 connects it to M5 motorway which starts about 40 miles, east near Exeter. The A38 Parkway runs east-west across the city. A374 leads from main A38 to Millbay Docks & Ferries.

The main bus operator is First Group. Some other buses operating nearby routes are Stagecoach Devon, Western Greyhound and National Express. Plymouth City Bus operates in the suburban areas.
rail
The City Centre and ferry port are just 5-10 minutes drive from the Plymouth Railway Station. Regular rail service to London Paddington is offered by First Great Western. CrossCountry (a part of Arriva) operates the Plymouth to Manchester or Aberdeen route. South West Trains offer a few services to London Waterloo.
