Description	This selection of objects from the Applied Art collections considers how makers apply design and decoration to functional items. Focusing on metalwork, ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery and enameling, the display compares historic and contemporary objects, explores design processes and examines makers' intentions. A stunning Arts and Crafts necklace designed by Ann Macbeth, which was recently acquired by the Gallery, is one of the highlights.
