	The Roman road Icknield Street cuts through Sutton Park to the west of the town. The town is bypassed to the north by the M6 Toll which connects it to Stafford and Walsall. South-North A38, which starts at Bodmin and ends at Mansfield, bypasses to the east. A5127 passes through the centre of town.
