Blackburn is bypassed to the South by the West-East M65. The motorway connects the town with Colne in the East and intersects the M6 and M61 on the westside of it. The A677 connects the town with Preston to the West, after intersecting M6. The A666 connects the town with Bolton in the South after crossing the M65. The A674 connects the town with Chorley.
The main bus and coach services connecting Blackburn with other places and for travel within, are Lancashire United (Transdev Group), J & S Travel (also called Dearden of Darwen), Blackburn Transport (Transdev Group), Darwen Coach Services, King Travel (also called Pilkington Accrington), Accrington Transport (also called Lancashire County Transport and a member of Transdev Group), M & M Coaches (also called Iqbal of Accrington) and Ribble of Preston (Stagecoach).
The town is less than an hour's drive from the Manchester International Airport and the Blackpool International Airport (about 26.7 miles). And it is just over an hour away from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Leeds Bradford International Airport and Hawarden (Chester) Airport.
