Changeover Days, Arrivals, Key Collection & Departure

Holiday cottage owners and self catering accommodation booking agencies operate in different ways so the times here are a guideline. This information should be sent to you after your booking has been confirmed. If you are unsure, please contact the holiday cottage owner or self catering accommodation booking agency.

For weekly bookings, most properties changeover on a Saturday, some are Friday changeovers. This is indicated in the cottage details.

Holiday cottage owners need to prepare and clean your accommodation between the time that the last guest left and the time that you arrive. Normally you can arrive by mid afternoon, around 3 O'clock when your holiday cottages or self catering accommodation will be cleaned and ready for you. You need to depart by mid morning, 10.00am, to allow the property to be prepared for the next guest. Normally the times varies slightly and this is indicated on the direction sheet sent to you prior to the start of your holiday.

When you book your holiday, the holiday cottage owner or self catering accommodation booking agency will provide directions and key collection instructions with your holiday confirmation.

Welcome Pack
Some Homeowners provide a welcome pack or tray for visitors and if this is the case it will be shown in the property details. What is provided will differ from property to property but the minimum included should normally consist of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits.
