The Old Tea Shop is a quaint Holiday Cottage sleeping 4 people. It is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, walkers, cyclists, fishing, etc. In lovely open countryside 1 mile from the coast. It boasts large open plan living room/kitchen with oil-fired Rayburn, wood-burning stove, Belfast sink/ welsh dresser & farmhouse table.
|The cottage is traditionally furnished with exposed beams and rustic style furnishings. There is a flat screen 3D Television, Wi Games Console, large leather corner sofa. Kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms both en-suite, the double room has TV and Traditional roll-top freestanding bath and shower. The twin bedroom has large shower. Both bedrooms have exposed beams and rustic style furnishings. Towels and bed linen supplied.
Plenty of parking and enclosed garden area to rear.
The courtyard area to the front has old-fashioned lamp-posts and is surrounded by mature fir trees.
It is an ideal stop-over for the Gills Bay to Orkney Ferry around 15 minutes drive to the ferry. The famous John O Groats iis around 10 miles and you can get day trips to the Orkney Islands everyday throughout the summer.
The cottage is an ideal base for exploring the area, nearest local shop is 5 miles, nearest supermarket is in Thurso around 11 miles.
The Queen Mothers former residence The Castle of Mey is only a mile away from the property/
The cottage is suitable for children over 10 years and pets are welcome (extra charge)
We take bookings for nightly stays and short breaks as well as weekly stays.
