The White House is a listed building situated on the sea front at Milford-on-Sea. Now converted into 14 luxury apartments the White House is No. 9 and is situated on the north side of the building. The White House was built circa 1900 as a private residence. It subsequently became a hospital, and then a meeting place for heads of state during the Second World War. It was acquired by a local building company in 2000, and converted into 14 luxury apartments.
There are over 4 acres of grounds which are privately owned by the residents, and have their own automated entrance gates. Private entrance and lobby, easy spiral staircase to first floor.
There is outdoor seating along the sea wall to enjoy the magnificent sea views of the Needles and Isle of Wight to the east and Hengitsbury Head at Christchurch to the west.
The property offers 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, and a bathroom. There is a large lounge/dining room with TV and wonderful views of Hurst Spit and Castle and Isle of Wight.
With a unusual circular kitchen that is fully equipped with double oven cooker, gas hob, large fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and extensive triple aspect views over the grounds. All linen is included and beds made up for you on arrival, heating is included.
Local places of interest include shops, pubs and restaurants all within a 10 minute walk. Most Saturdays during the season there are events on the village green. Further shops and supermarkets at Lymington and New Milton, each about 4 miles away. The famous New Forest is 6 miles away.
The premises should be vacated by 10.30am on the morning of departure, unless otherwise agreed with the owner.
