The Granary makes an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and for people who have horses who want to bring them along and ride the many bridleways and quiet country lanes. Stabling and grazing provided as well as maps for the rider and there are safe storage facilities for bikes.

There are many local attractions including stately homes, hillwalking, inns restaurants and golf courses.
