The Oxfordshire market town of Abingdon is only three miles away with an interesting range of pubs restaurants and shops. Take a leisurely walk along the River Thames and find a pleasant spot for a picnic. Oxford is a fantastic place for a day out with its world-famous university. For walkers the spectacular Ridgeway is one of the most picturesque in the heart of England. Also visit the Valley of the White Horse for some of the best elevated views in the country. You can be in either the Chilterns or the Cotswolds in less than an hour. On arrival at the property you will enter the open-plan layout of the ground-floor. The lounge/kitchen/diner is spacious and airy and is filled with traditional character features such as exposed beams and cottage-style doors. There is ample comfortable seating in the lounge area along with a TV/DVD to sit and enjoy a movie. The kitchen contains an electric oven and hob a fridge/freezer and a microwave. Guests also have use of a shared utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as ironing facilities. The bathroom is also on the ground-floor with a shower over the bath and WC. Upstairs in the former hayloft is a double bedroom. There is a second bedroom here which is a twin. Step outside and you will find a private garden and terrace with some outdoor furniture to enjoy a quiet summer evening. There is also private off-road parking.
