Just down the lane from the cottage is England s oldest inn The Porch House a beautiful and homely venue for your evening meal or a quiet drink of something locally recommended. The quintessentially English town has hosted markets in the square since the 12th century and its honey-coloured buildings are a draw for visitors far and wide. It is also renowned for its array of antiques shops. Attractions close by include Cotswold Farm Park Bourton Model Railway Exhibition The Cotswold Falconry Centre and the Cotswold Wildlife Park just outside Burford. Lovingly renovated in a contemporary style but retaining much of its original charm and character synonymous with the surrounding area and buildings this delightful cottage makes a comfortable retreat for a break in the Cotswolds. The entrance hall is ideal for any muddy boots from walks along tracks nearby leading into a spacious lounge/diner. The lounge has comfy seating perfect for resting tired feet after a day of exploration where you can sit and enjoy your favourite programme on the TV listen to the DAB radio or perhaps watch a DVD or Blu-ray keeping warm in the colder months thanks to the wood burner which a starter basket of logs is provided for. There is a good-sized dining table by the stairs large enough to seat four people should you wish to cook up a storm in the kitchen whilst on your holiday. The kitchen is well-equipped comprising of gas oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave and washer/dryer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms one with a double bed the other with twin singles. The bathroom has a bath with hand-held shower and WC. Outside there is a pretty courtyard garden with a picnic area and a parasol and the added bonus of parking for two cars.
