The property is situated in the pretty village of Burwash famed for its associations with Rudyard Kipling. Batemans the home where Kipling wrote The Jungle Book is just half a mile outside the main village and is a popular National Trust property. Less than a 30-minute drive away is another important historic site the 14th century Bodiam Castle.
