Situated on a quiet coastal road this holiday cottage overlooks the pebbled beach at Lydd-on-Sea where keen walkers will enjoy long rambles along the shoreline. With National Nature and RSPB Reserves nearby at Dungeness wildlife enthusiasts will be in their element as there are thousands of birds to watch. The medieval town of Rye is just half an hour s drive west and boasts a selection of independent shops cafés and restaurants selling freshly caught seafood and antiques. The entrance to this cottage opens into the sunroom where guests can take a seat on the retro chairs and read one of the many books on the floating shelves while facing out to sea or study the night s sky through the telescope. The spacious lounge beyond features tasteful décor generating a distinctly 60s vibe against a fresh contemporary backdrop and flooring. The cosy open fire makes for warm winter evenings while unique lampshades and furnishings add more interest to this room. The kitchen is distinctly retro with original painted cabinets a round dining table and French signs. Here you will find a double electric oven and hob fridge/freezer and sink overlooking the sea. One twin bedroom is located on this floor with plenty of storage and views of the pebbled garden. Bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Upstairs the other bedroom has a double bed it is light and airy with tasteful furnishings and an antique French sign used as the headboard. There is also a twin bedroom on this floor which also features vintage wall art and colourful curtains. At the front of the house there is a shingled garden with scattered wildflowers while at the rear you will find a sheltered private garden with garden furniture and sprouting sea kale and poppies.
