Beautiful well equipped cottage FIVE stars ETB and level two for the disabled .Situated on a working hill farm in The Durham Dales ,with an abundance of birds ,flowers and wild life .The cottage was newly built on the site of the stable block in local stone with many nice features .No steps .and wide doors . and plenty of room inside the cottage . open plan This is a quite location.With wonderful dark sky's
Nelly’s Cottage is detached .but a covered entrance to the court yard which leads to a walled garden area and patio â€" ideal for bird-watching and wild life .butterflies. Garden furniture is provided and this area is also ideal for children to play safely.
We have an award winning Herd of Pedigree Hereford show cattle,
There is a pub nearby in the village of Cowshill as well as a children play park .village shop at St John's Chapel two tea shops and a pub selling evening meals
The surrounding area offers plenty â€" cycling or walking whilst enjoying the summer time fauna and flora, bird and wildlife watching in the nearby outdoors Red Squirrels at Killhope Wheel Lead Mining Museum and Black Grouse also we are situated in a Geo Park, or enjoying some of the historic locations such as Hadrian’s Wall or the towns of Beamish, Alston and Durham.
Both cottages offer all modern conveniences as well as one bath room , and a separate shower room . large living rooms, fully fitted kitchens and dining areas which seat up to six. Nelly's cottage sleeps SIX but and extra bed can be added or a travel cot.
This property comprises 3 bedrooms - 1 king size en-suite room, a twin .plus a twin en-suite room . The king size en-suit room is large and has a bathroom with a bath .two wash basins and WC . The twin has a roll in shower and toilet and two wash basins with disabled access.The cottage sleeps six + two children .If you need more accommodation the cottage next door Alice's sleeps five + One . The lounge, with wonderful views over the dale, is open-plan, and has TV (FREE VIEW) off the satilite . and the kitchen has a dining area to seat six and is very well equipped with all appliances.There is WFI is available in the cottage.
