Rhiw Goch Cottage
Rhiw Goch cottage sits within a magical garden-paradise: a truly glorious, peaceful setting, nestled in a sheltered area above the Lledr valley, approx. 10 minutes drive from Betws y Coed. Stunning gardens merge into ancient oak woodland, pasture and moorland with impressive views of Moel Siabod and the valley. Shop and pub in Dolwyddelan approx 5 mins drive.
The detached, stone- built cottage is next to the owner's historic Welsh "longhouse". The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped.
Wifi available.
The cottage is all on one level, offering:
One large bedroom with very comfortable king-sized bed and a single; en-suite shower room.
Kitchen area with full size oven, hob, microwave, toaster, double-sink, etc;
Sitting room with log burning stove , TV, DVD, CD player, Board games.
Dining area, which also has a dog-friendly settee and plenty of room for muddy boots/dogs and airing waterproofs.
On arriving, you will find the wood burner laid and ready to light and a basket of wood provided. Additional wood can be bought locally.
Electric is included.
Access to shared washing-machine and tumble-drying facilities may be arranged with Jo and Stuart. Catering may also be provided by prior arrangement.
The cottage has it's own patio area with garden furniture and Weber BBQ. The extensive gardens can be enjoyed freely by guests and are beautiful throughout all the seasons.
Rhiw Goch is perfect for secluded relaxation; reading, painting, pottering or just sitting in the garden.
There is great walking right from the door around the Llyn Elsi area with its beautiful lake, network of footpaths and forestry tracks. Walking to Betws y Coed might take an hour (over the historic Sarn Helen) or longer, if pottering through the woods and valleys.
Rhiw Goch is also an ideal base for enjoying the wealth of attractions of Snowdonia, including ancient castles, beaches, Bodnant Gardens, the Ffestiniog Railway, the historic towns of Conwy and Caernarfon. Several destination mountain-blking areas, and "adventure" attractions such as Bounce Below, Zip-wires and the Surf Centre are all close by.
Safe storage for bicycles.
