Nestling at the head of Coniston Water, the pretty village of Coniston is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park and makes a superb base for touring, with Hawkshead, Ambleside and Windermere just a short drive away. Superb walking, mountain biking and climbing is available locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, and the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. For water sports enthusiasts the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht ‘Gondola'.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

We have stayed here before and we knew that this spacious property was perfect for our family holiday.
Mr Mitchell, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
October 2013

,This cottage was absolutely perfect for our family and on occasion. The rooms are spacious and the home comfortable. The short walks to everything necessary gave us the village feel. The scenery and the many close natural features made it a great choice for the family members that were very much into the outdoors. We took turns eating and the kitchen was perfect for preparing meals for large groups. I can't say enough good things about the place, and it was affordable!
Mrs Grundy, Sarasota, Florida
June 2013

,The situation of the property was perfect and all the amenities were close at hand. There were wonderful walks available from the door.
Mrs Johns, Bath, Somerset
April 2013

,Location was fantastic, size of property is good and the price was very fair.
Mr Robertson, Bristol, Somerset
March 2013
