The fascinating market town of Kirkbymoorside is situated on the edge of The North Yorks Moors National Park between Helmsley and Pickering. There have been two castles in the town and fragments can still be found in the area, with stones from one of the castles used in the building of the Toll House in the centre of the town. The town has a broad cobbled main street and is flanked by magnificent Georgian buildings. There are walks from the town towards Hutton-le-Hole and the fabulous Ryedale Folk Museum can be found here. Visitors can take a trip back in time and discover what life was like in past times. With its idyllic location and stunning scenery, Kirkbymoorside is a super holiday base.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

A lovely, cosy and comfortable cottage for a get-away holiday. Super location for discovering North Yorkshire.
Mrs Penny, Chesterfield, Derbyshire
October 2013

,We had a great holiday, the cottage had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The large garden was a bonus and the kids enjoyed the play area. It was great to stay in such a dog friendly place as well. We all enjoyed our stay and will hope to return another year.
Mrs Auty, Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross
June 2013

,The cottage had everything we needed and ideally situated to visit surrounding areas. We would consider renting this cottage again if and when we visit that particular part of North Yorkshire. Owners even left us a cake! Nice touch.
Mrs Collins, Spalding, Lincolnshire
May 2013

,The cottage was a real delight. The owners were helpful but not intrusive and she bakes a wonderful cake! It is also very picturesque. I would return to this cottage again.
