A delightful thatched cottage in the hamlet of East Boldre this is an ideal base to explore the New Forest with endless walks straight from the garden gate. About one mile from the property is Beaulieu Heath where 100 miles of off road cycle tracks can be discovered and enjoyed by all. If you need to pick up essentials during your stay Beaulieu Village is approximately three miles away with its picturesque high street offering a grocers gift shops and cafes. Interesting day trips that are easily accessed include the market town of Lymington the Isle of Wight via ferry and the large bustling town of Southampton can be reached with a fifteen minute drive. Perfect for pony watching from the windows and admiring open views over the rolling countryside threre is a cheerful and welcoming living area with exposed oak beams modern facilities and a homely open fire place. With views overlooking the garden the window seat is the perfect place to sit and soak up the scenery and the cottage door provides easy access to the gardens. Boasting French slate flooring and equipped with all the essentials the kitchen is great for preparing a feast. If the weather is nice why not dine al fresco in the gardens or gather in the dining room that s perfect for entertaining. The ground floor also benefits from a handy shower room and WC. Upstairs there are three bedrooms which are linked together by a corridor that was part of the original building with low ceilings that adds to the charm of the cottage. Two bedrooms feature a double bed each and the third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds however occupancy for two only is permitted and these beds are ideal for children or teenagers. The upstairs family bathroom boasts a WC sink and bath with shower over. There is ample parking for two or three cars in the track outside of the gate that leads in to the garden and path to the cottage. The ponies are always looking for guests who leave the gate off the catch so be aware of extra visitors joining you in the garden if left loose. The enclosed gardens boast open views and there is a large timber garden room with lighting and power and toys puzzles and books for children to enjoy. BBQs are not permitted due to the risk of fire close to thatched cottages.
