Throwley Hall Farm is situated in the quiet countryside above the beautiful Manifold Valley. Superb scenery and walking country are right on the doorstep, and attractions such as Alton Towers, National Trust properties, Chatsworth and local market/spa towns are a short journey away. The cities of Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester ,Sheffield are approx. 1 hour drive with Derby and the Potteries being less than 40mins away.
In the grounds of Throwley, are the medieval remains of Throwley Old Hall, now an ancient monument, with public access
Throwley is a working hill farm situated on a spur overlooking the Manifold Valley. This is one of the most famous rivers of the Peak District and carves a spectacular deep valley with numerous rocky crags, a sight which is matched locally only by Dovedale - just a few miles away
THROWLEY COTTAGE (circa 19thC) accommodates up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms, the lounge has retained its original beams and has an open fire. It is situated above the beautiful Manifold Valley in its own private, spacious grounds between Throwley Hall Farm and Throwley Moor Farm, with superb scenery and walking country right on the doorstep. Cycling trails are nearby as are numerous activities and attractions including swimming, riding and climbing.
Outside there is parking for 2 cars, enclosed south facing garden with benches & bbq.
We accept well behaved pets @ £10.
A car is essential as this is a rural area accessed by single track lane.
The Cottage is just across a field from our other property,THROWLEY MOOR FARMHOUSE, making it ideal for larger parties.
