Richmond House is the ideal base for those who love the beach. Take a short 3 mile trip to Westward Ho! where you’ll find two miles of sandy beach, popular with surfers and families. You can catch a ferry between Appledore and Instow at high tide, a small seaside town with a long sandy beach. The estuary is an excellent place for water skiing, sailing and fishing. Children will love crabbing off Appledore Quay at high tide where competitions are held to see who has caught the most.
