This cosy traditional two bedroom Lakeland cottage is beautifully situated in the Great Langdale valley where there are numerous walks to suit all abilities and ambitions. The views of Lingmoor Fell across the valley and the Langdale Pikes further up the valley are spectacular.
The cottage is set well back from the valley road which is reassuring for families with young children. There is a large communal area of grass in front of the cottage. Off road parking area with one dedicated parking space is available.
Lingmoor View is no more than a few minutes walk to the centre of Chapel Stile. Elterwater is a little further but still within easy walking distance. There are excellent pubs in Chapel Stile and Elterwater.
Walks lead directly from the cottage onto the fells behind. Windermere, Coniston Water, Grasmere and Rydal Water are only a short drive from the cottage.
Two bedrooms (one double, one twin) with fine fell views.
Bathroom has a bath and shower.
The fitted kitchen/diner is well equipped with Bosch oven/hob, microwave and fridge freezer.
Many original features have been preserved to maintain the charm of the cottage including slate flagged flooring, exposed floor boards and a fully working Victorian cast iron fire (coal is provided).
PETS
We allow dogs in all of our cottages subject to our usual conditions â€" guaranteed house clean, confined to the ground floor and not allowed on the furniture. We make a charge of £10 for a dog.
Bookings, deposits and balance due dates:
If the cottage is booked less than six weeks ahead the full balance will be due to Cottages Direct at the time of booking. If the cottage is booked more than six weeks ahead, the booker will be required to pay Cottages Direct commission of 10% of the tariff price plus VAT by credit or debit card. This will be deducted from the tariff price.
A deposit payment of one third of the net tariff price (after deduction of the 10% + VAT commission) will then be required by the cottage owners before a booking is confirmed. The balance will be due one month before the start of a stay.
