Waterworld and pottery museums in Hanley, Ashbourne's famous market and interesting vintage shops, beautiful Dovedale and cycle hire for exploring the Manifold walking and cycling Trail areall only a few miles away whilst Sudbury Hall and Little Moreton Hall (both N.T.), Chatsworth House, Bakewell and the Heights of Abraham cable cars at Matlock Bath are under an hour's drive. Pay and play golf is 1 mile. There are three pubs just half a mile away, and restaurants, takeaways and shops in Cheadle, 3 miles.
