Perfect for holidays at any time of year, the area is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers – the scenic Worcestershire Walk passes the grounds and the Wye Valley, Bromyard Downs, RSPB Symonds Yat and the walking and cycling trails of the Royal Forest of Dean are all within easy reach as are the magnificent Welsh mountains and border country. The Severn Valley steam railway will delight all ages and the historic cities of Worcester, 7 miles, and Hereford provides plenty of interest.
