The National Botanical Gardens, fine historic houses and gardens and several great Norman castles are all worth a visit. This is excellent walking country and the Gwili Steam Railway, offering journeys through lovely wooded valley scenery, is only 3 miles away. Further afield is the Oakwood Leisure Park with its famous roller coaster. The market town of Carmarthen (3 miles) boasts a wide range of shops and restaurants as well as a cinema, theatre, sports centre and indoor swimming pool, museum, and an 18 hole golf course. Lovely sandy beaches and sailing on Carmarthen Bay, 12 miles. Fishing 6 miles. Country pub serving food, 1 mile.
