A heated outdoor swimming pool, games barn and four well-stocked fishing lakes are all available for visitors' pleasure, as are the outstanding views over glorious surrounding countryside that is ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. The famously elegant coastal resort of Sidmouth, the antique shops of Honiton (8 miles) and the thriving market town of Taunton are all within easy reach whilst further afield to the north lie the wonders of Exmoor National Park, backdrop to the resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, linked by a unique cliff railway, and the gorgeous Doone Valley. To the south lies the granite grandeur of Dartmoor, with its sparkling streams, quaint villages and famous ponies. There is a pub serving food 2 miles away and shops at Dunkeswell, 4 miles.
