Bight Boathouse is a splendid spacious riverside home in Dartmouth with spectacular views over the River Dart and out to sea. This unique property has its own private indoor leisure centre that includes a superb indoor heated swimming pool. The upper floor bedrooms lead out to a railed balcony and the lower floor living area to the sun terrace, both with breakthtaking views. Dine al fresco on the terrace or just relax on a sun bed after a dip in the pool and take in the outstanding views from this exceptional property. Within a few minutes walk there are many fine restaurants, shops and character inn’s and it is possible to take a river trip upstream or out to sea, hire a boat, or enjoy a steam train ride from Kingswear. The scenic award winning beach at Blackpool Sands is a ten minute drive. This property has two parking spaces, offers a running mooring and 25% discount at Dartmouth Golf and Country Club on green fees and daily leisure club fees.
Accommodation:
Hallway. A wide spiral staircase leads down to large split level open plan sitting/dining room with a comfortable seating area, 50in TV/DVD, pool table and full length doors and windows to the terrace with magnificent river views. The dining area has a large table to seat 10. Off the living area is a snug TV room with two comfortable sofas, TV with video. The well equipped kitchen diner has a ceramic hob, eye level double ovens, integral fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave and dining table to seat 8. The four bedrooms are on the upper level all with superb river views. Master double bedroom (1) with 4ft 6in bed, fine range of fitted cupboards, TV and doors to the balcony terrace. A large recliner faces the views and the room has an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath with head rests at each end, separate shower cubicle, twin wash basins, WC and bidet. Family bedroom (4) with a double 4ft 6in bed and single 3ft bed, TV, fitted cupboard and hand basin in vanity unit. Doors to the terrace. Bedroom (2) double room with 6ft bed, fitted cupboards, TV and stunning views up river. En-suite bathroom with oval bath and central taps, basin, bidet and WC, this bathroom also has separate access to the hallway. Bedroom (3) double room with 4ft 6in bed, fitted wardrobes, basin in vanity unit and doors to the balcony. There is a single 3ft fold up bed in this room. Utility room with washing machine and dryer. Spiral staircase from the living area leads down to the swimming pool complex that includes a magnificent pool, sauna, Jacuzzi hot tub and comfortable seating area. Changing room. Shower room and separate WC.
Outside: Below the property there is access via steps to the estuary from a hard standing where there is a storage area for small dinghies or kayaks/canoes.
Parking: Designated parking places for 2 cars.
