Gurrow Point Cottage,Dartmouth

Set on the banks of the Dart estuary in the heart of South Devon, on the outskirts of the pretty village of Dittisham, just upstream from the historical port of Dartmouth, Gurrow Cottage shelters in mature gardens on a private gated estate surrounded by water on three sides with magnificent views.  This is one of the prettiest estuaries in the South West and it's easy to envisage enjoying a relaxing holiday in a delightful detached waterside holiday cottage with a private slipway where you can launch your own boat.  Guests are free to wander the 80 acres of woods and pastureland on the estate and enjoy the 1.5 miles of river frontage. Launch your boat and explore upstream, tying up alongside the quayside in the Bohemian town of Totnes or alternatively drift lazily downstream to Dartmouth and the open sea beyond. This sheltered and widest part of the estuary is perfect for canoeing, wind surfing or dinghy sailing (tide permitting) and for landlubbers there's no excuse for not keeping fit as guests also have use of a tennis court and pavilion.  The modern cottage is immaculately presented in a pleasing contemporary style with a lovely conservatory dining room, garden patio and spacious lounge with woodburner.

Accommodation:

Door into small hallway.  Sunny carpeted sitting room with sofa and two armchairs, woodburner stove and 42 inch flat screen TV and DVD.  French windows to rear patio.  The sitting room extends into a lovely sandstone floor tiled conservatory and dining area extension with views through the trees to the water. French windows to garden terrace  Off the sitting room is a cloakroom with shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.  Kitchen with ceramic hob, electric oven and grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave, door to terrace.  From the sitting room stairs to the first floor.  Double bedroom with 5ft bed.
