Sheffield (4 miles) boasts an ice rink, all weather skiing, bowling, swimming pools, galleries, cinemas, the Crucible Theatre, Magna Science Park and good shopping. Chatsworth, Castleton and Hardwick Hall (N.T.) are all easily accessible. Local riding, fishing 8 miles. Shops and pubs are under 500 yards.
