Located to the outskirts of the pretty East Devon village of Whimple, Hillcrest offers a single level holiday retreat ideal for couples or small families. The property has been recently modernised and provides fresh, comfortable as well as home from home accommodation. Follow the sun and open the French doors onto the mature front and rear gardens which boast long distance countryside views. 

Whimple provides a convenient base from which to explore the many attractions of East Devon’s countryside and coastline. Enjoy car free days via the village’s train station – travel west for Exeter’s shops, cathedral and quayside or go east to explore the many Antique shops of Honiton or the market town of Axminster. Wonderful coastal walks are found at Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, or alternatively make some sandcastles upon the long stretch of sand at Exmouth. By day, explore several local National Trust properties, a plethora of walks across the Otter Valley or a family day out at Crealy Adventure Park; and by night, sample the locally renowned village eateries and nearby restaurants. 

Accommodation:

Front door opens into hallway. Sunny lounge with rear countryside views, patio doors to rear garden, ornamental fireplace (not in use), sofa, two armchairs, flat screen TV and DVD player. Dining room with countryside views and patio doors to the rear garden, ornamental fireplace (not in use), table to comfortably seat four. Modern kitchen equipped with electric hob, built-in electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and larder fridge. An adjoining utility room with door to rear garden houses, freezer and washing machine. Bedroom 1 with double bed, dual aspect windows, Antique wardrobe, chest and dressing table. Bedroom 2 with two 3ft single beds, chest of drawers and views over the front garden.  Modern family bathroom with bath, electric shower over, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Please note that the 5th occupant is to be accommodated upon a Z bed in bedroom 1. This is only suitable for children under 12.

Outside:

Enclosed front and rear level grassed gardens. Mature trees and planters. Paved patio area with table and chairs – perfect for alfresco dining. 

Parking: Parking for two cars on gated driveway.
