There are castles and distilleries close by and easy touring to the Isle of Skye, the magnificent west coast, Ben Nevis, Aviemore, the Cairngorm ski slopes and the splendid Orkney Isles. Just 9 miles along the scenic Loch Ness road is Inverness – the lively and attractive 'capital' of the Highlands – with leisure centre, cinemas, excellent shops, restaurants, aquadome and riverside theatre. Explore the charming coastal villages, visit historic Culloden battlefield or just relax and watch for the legendary monster to appear (binoculars provided!). There is also free fishing on Loch Ness and golf, pony trekking and watersports are close by. Restaurant and pub 200 yards. Shops 4 miles.
