Dramatic mountain scenery affords glorious hill and forest walking, and the fishing is superb. A trip to the Falls of Shin, where salmon leap and Harrods of the North have a shop and restaurant serving the wonderful local produce, is not to be missed (2 miles). Dornoch (15 miles) is home to beaches and golf, and Dunrobin Castle (25 miles) is well worth a visit. Shops in Bonar Bridge, 6 miles, and pub serving food 2½ miles.
