The cliff head of Kettleness and the sea can be viewed from the cottage. Cliff top walks along the Cleveland Way, with breathtaking views of the coastline are accessible on foot and only a short distance from the door. The seaside resorts of Staithes, Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby are all within easy access, along with the North York Moors National Park. There are many activities in the area from boat trips and museums to a ride on the North York Moors National Steam Railway. If you prefer a restful holiday you will find Heathcliffe a great place to relax with a private garden and spacious accommodation. There are two friendly pubs in Runswick and a hotel, all serving food. Shops in Hinderwell 1 mile
