Jemima Puddleduck | These well equipped farm cottages are in a delightful secluded valley on the fringe of Exmoor. Set in 11 acres of paddock and woodland, each cottage enjoys wonderful country views and is tastefully furnished to a high standard. For the ultimate in relaxation and for special breaks there are private hot tubs and a variety of holistic therapy treatments available for those who enjoy a bit of pampering (celebration baskets are available and can be ordered in advance). Children are made especially welcome with their own 'on site' Childrens Farm' where animals can be fed, stroked, walked and groomed. A daily timetable is set out for these activities. Eggs can be collected from the hens and in the springtime lambs can be bottle fed. There are free donkey rides on Barney or Old Bear, a sandpit, grass lawns for ball games and a large selection of outdoor play equipment. Small children will love the indoor under '7s' Playbarn and children of all ages can enjoy the Games Room. Additional seasonal activities such as painting, Easter Egg hunts, Pumpkin Carving Competitions and a 'real Christmas Nativity down at the barns' are also organised and fishing, riding ,golf and clay pigeon shooting are all easily arranged locally. Within easy reach are the delights of Exmoor National Park-An area of outstanding natural beauty-home to the legend of Lorna Doone, ponies, picturesque villages ,and the famous resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth linked together by a cliff railway; Ilfracombe:- from where you can take regular day cruises to Lundy Island and it's puffins, and also along the exquisite Exmoor coastline, Clovelly:- cobbled traffic free streets, quaint cottages, donkeys, museum and shops. There are also many wonderful gardens to visit Heddon Hall, RHS Rosemoor, Arlington Court, Hartland Abbey and gardens. For beach lovers there is a wide choice of world famous beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde bay; a surfers paradise and Saunton Sands. Close by (3 miles) is the lively town of South Molton with its twice weekly Pannier market, swimming pool, supermarket and restaurants. There is a local inn serving food with live music (1½ miles). | | |  |  |
