Fellside Cottage | Fellside Cottage is a small North Pennines old stone cottage with beams (some low), open-plan sittingroom with wood-burning stove for winter, kitchen and dining areas, electric heating throughout if required. A curving staircase leads to 2 single bedrooms, one having 2' '6" divan, and Bathroom with small bathtub with shower. Another narrow staircase leads to the cosy double loft bedroom. The AONB is well described in David Bellamy's "England's Last Wilderness". The river below the wall opposite the cottage has rock pools and winding footpaths alongside, ideal for walks, birdwatching. Places to visit - Killhope Leadmining Museum (2 miles), Alston (miniature steam railway), Hexham, Hamsterley Forest, Durham, Beamish Outdoor Museum, Stanhope heated outdoor swimming pool, Newcastle, Lake District, Keilderwater, Hadrian's Wall, Farne Is, and much more.
Fellside Cottage in a quiet riverside lane has 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 4 people. One cosy double Loft bedroom and on First floor 2 single bedrooms, Bathroom with small bathtub with shower. Open plan sittingroom with well equipped kitchen / dining areas but no TV. Unsuitable for very young children or the less mobile. Sorry, no pets | | |  |  |
