	Our Auvergnat stone cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and an ideal retreat for couples. Nestling high in the hills of the Haut Livradois with wonderful views across to the Monts de Forez, the cottage has been carefully restored to offer modern comfort without losing its original features. Clean and comfortable and strictly for non-smokers the cottage has everything you need for a stress free holiday. You can explore this little known region of unspoilt countryside on foot, by bike or by car. Whatever the season there is always something to see or do. Visit the medieval market towns, castles, volcanoes and lakes. Try a variety of walks from your front door or just sit and unwind, sampling local wines and cheeses and enjoying the peaceful surroundings with its birds, butterflies, forests and flower filled meadows. This is our little corner of heaven, far from the madding crowd and we look forward to sharing it with you. We have good shopping facilities in Ambert 8 km away where there is also a swimming pool and lake. There is canoeing on the Allier within an hour. Mountain bike tracks, marked walks, museums and local markets are all close by. There are numerous concerts held in the summer months and a tourist train in Ambert in July and August.
