Groom's Quarters, The | Elevated and tranquil with superb views. Part of our 18th Century Coach House has been converted into a spacious yet cosy, 5 star retreat, with all home comforts and many original features including a cobbled courtyard. We feel we have created something quite unique in self-catering, and welcome you to share it with us.
There is good walking from the door. Cycling on the nearby trails. The Peak National Park and Dovedale are just over the Weaver hills. Visit the many stately homes. Alton Towers is only 10mins drive. There is fishing, riding, golf, water and adventure sports and free use of local tennis courts. Antique hunting in Leek and Ashbourne(6 miles), a picturesque market town "The Gateway to Dovedale" where cobbled squares are lined with shops, galleries, inns and restaurants. There are also many country pubs and restaurants nearby, serving good food. Or relax and play boules in the enclosed garden and enjoy the views.
The Cottage offers 1 large double bedroom plus cot with sitting area bathroom with shower & bidet also ensuite for twin, 1 large double with 6ft king with shower room opposite, living room with dining table/pool or snooker and woodburner, farmhouse style kitchen.Wireless broadband by arrangement Please note: Weekly bookings must start on a Friday.
