The house is an ideal base for sightseeing, touring and outdoor activities including golf, fishing, hill-walking and skiing, being close to the Cairngorm and Lecht ski resorts.
Aviemore offers a range of gift and craft shops and outlets geared towards the outdoor enthusiast. There are a variety of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars with international and local cuisine. Attractions in the area include the Cairngorm Mountain Railway, Loch Morlich for water sports or sunbathing in the summer, working highland estates offering various activities, plus numerous whisky distilleries and castles.
